Can you explain the ordering process and how I will receive my manual when I order a pdf download?
When you order a PDF version of the manual, look for the product format "Download". After ordering, you will be able to retrieve your PDF by visiting your Personal Downloads page and clicking on the link corresponding to your document.

PDF documents that are available for downloading immediately after ordering are marked with an icon on the product search page.

If the manual was not available for immediate download, you will receive notification that the manual is available to download usually within 1 business day.

Do I need an account to order?
Yes, after selecting your items and clicking CHECKOUT, you will be put onto the LOGIN screen. Click the Not Registered Yet? Create a new Account button.

What is the difference between an owner’s manual and a service manual?
A service manual is what a technician will use to repair a unit, containing schematics, parts list, etc.

An owner’s manual is what a customer will receive in the box with instructions on how to operate the unit.

How do I search for a service manual?
TO SEARCH: Select the brand from the pull down menu (this is not necessary, but it will reduce the number of results), then input all or part of the model number without periods, hyphens (dashes) or spaces (i.e. for STR-DE915, enter STRDE915; for 626.928, enter 626928). If you do not find the model you are looking for, enter the model again, but with less information (i.e. CTC169, instead of CTC169PTV or enter the number without the suffix). If you still do not get any results, contact us by clicking HERE and see if we can get the manual for you.

What brands do you sell owner’s (instruction) manuals for?
We have a VERY limited supply of owner’s manuals. In fact, we only sell owner’s manuals for Emerson Radio and HH Scott.

How do I pay?
Payment is received either by credit card from our secure site or you can pay by check/money order. If paying by check or money order, simply take the purchase price and add the appropriate shipping (see below).
• Downloads cannot be purchased via check or money order.
• For out of country orders, please make sure it is in US funds and drawn from a US bank.

When will I receive my manual (if ordered on paper, cd rom or microfiche)?
Orders are usually shipped out within 24 hours when ordered Sunday through Thursday. Friday orders received before 1:00 PM EST will usually be shipped that day.

When will I receive my manual (if ordered on pdf format for download)?
If the service manual is in our system and has the icon, , you will may download the file immediately by visiting your Personal Downloads page by clicking on the MY DOWNLOADS tab at the top of the page.
If the service manual is not in the system yet, it will take up to 24 hours if ordered Sunday through Thursday. Orders received on Friday may be sent on Friday or Monday.

What format are the downloads in?
The downloads will be in the industry standard, pdf. Almost every computer has the free Adobe Acrobat Reader already installed. If you do not have it, you can get it from www.adobe.com for free.

What is the quality of the downloads?
The downloads are all digital and the quality is equal, if not better than, the master. Also, we do not alter the schematics, meaning that if a schematic is a 3 foot schematic, it is not cut up to fit in a simple scanner. We utilize a large format scanner to scan in the larger schematics so the traces can be easily followed.

Can I print the pdf download?
Yes, but quality depends on the equipment used.

How long will my manual be available for download?
After you receive confirmation that your manual is available online, you will have 5 days to pick it up.

What is the size of the pdf file?
The pdf files are rather large, but vary greatly between 1 meg and 50 meg. It is the user responsibility to make sure they have the capabilities to download the manual. However, if you are having trouble, we can work something out so you pay the difference

I live close by; can I just pick up the manual?
We stock over 130,000 manuals, so we must stock them in a separate warehouse. Also, we do not have the facilities that allow walk in customers.

What information is contained in the manual?
The information is as supplied from the original manufacturer, but do guarantee that each will at the very least have the schematics and parts lists. Most manuals contain adjustments, pcb layouts, wiring diagrams, block diagrams, IC layouts, etc., but we cannot guarantee that all of them do.

What is your return policy?
We guarantee the quality of the service manual. We cannot guarantee the information, as we did not write most of the manuals. Some older paper manuals have some small tears or stains that will NOT affect servicing the unit, the manual cannot be returned in these instances unless the serviceability of the product is affected, such as a missing parts list or schematic.

Is your site secure?
Yes, our site utilizes the latest security to protect ALL of your information, not only your credit card number (if stored). We also use a purging system that will remove your credit card number if you have not ordered in 9 months.

What will the charge appear as on my credit card?
The charge will appear as “The Treasure Chest Corp.” as this is our corporation name.

Will you sell my information (e-mail, telephone number, etc.) to another party?
Under NO circumstances will we sell any of our client’s information. We are people here to and would not want us done to us. Any information supplied on our site will never be given or sold to any other company/individual.

If you do not list a manual, can you get it?
We have contacts/suppliers for many brands and are successful in obtaining many manuals that we do not already stock. If a manual is needed that we do not stock, simply go to the CONTACT US LINK and send us an e-mail.

What if I order a download and paper manual?
You will be charged shipping and handling for the paper manual and it will usually be sent out within 1 business day. You will also receive a separate e-mail with the link to download.

A manual is listed as a supplement and as a regular service manual; do I need both?
Most of the time, the main service manual will contain all the information needed as the supplement only contains minor changes. However, to make sure you get the most information, you can certainly order both.

I do not know the model number, can you help me?
Model numbers are usually either on the bottom or the rear of the unit or somewhere inside the case.

Can I use download accelerators, such as GetRight, FlashGet?
Yes, but we cannot offer support for these.

Do you sell parts?
No, we only sell the service manuals.
